“My name is Ana Resulidze, I am a fourth year Bachelor’s student of TV and Radio Journalism at Batumi Art Teaching University in Georgia. At the same time, I am currently an intern at Adjara Public Broadcaster as a sports journalist, and I run my own football media platform, GeoGoalWise, which I founded.

Alongside my university studies, I have always tried to gain practical knowledge outside the classroom as well. I studied Social Media in Sports at Barça Innovation Hub, and I also completed the Master’s in Football Business & Management at Sports Business Institute Barcelona. I have also taken courses in social media management through BMCC.

Before moving fully into sports journalism, I worked for Biblusi, one of the largest bookstore networks in Georgia, where I created video content for the brand. I have always been interested in the creative side of media , creating videos, editing, storytelling and finding different ways to communicate an idea , so this experience was very important to me.

Football has been a part of my life since I was a child. At the same time, I have always loved creating things. When I was younger, I used to make and edit videos and even convince my classmates to take part in them. Eventually, I realized that I didn’t have to choose between these two things I loved. I could combine football and creativity and turn both into a career.

At some point, I also realized that simply watching football was not enough for me. I wanted to be part of it. I wanted to tell stories, create content, meet people from the industry and understand everything that happens around the game, not just what happens on the pitch.

This is also why I created GeoGoalWise. I wanted to create a space where football could be discussed differently, with more attention to stories, people and ideas behind the game. I regularly cover football in Georgia, receive media accreditation for Dinamo Batumi matches and often cover Georgia national team games as well. Through journalism, I want to tell stories that might otherwise remain unnoticed and give attention to players and people who don’t always receive the visibility they deserve.

I also want to contribute to making football a more welcoming space for women. I want girls who are interested in football to know that they don’t have to limit themselves to being fans. They can be journalists, photographers, marketers, managers, creators, coaches, or anything else they want to be. Our place is wherever we choose to be.

Academically, I am currently a scholarship student at my university and was selected among the three highest-performing students. But for me, the most important part of my education has also been everything I have learned outside the university, through football media, practical projects, courses, and the people I have met along the way.

In the next five years, I hope to be based in Barcelona and working in the football industry. Barcelona has been connected to my childhood and my love for football for many years, and FC Barcelona is a club I have dreamed of being part of for a long time. One of my biggest professional goals is to eventually work for the club and create something that would genuinely be useful to it. I don’t know exactly what that role will look like yet, but I know that I want to combine journalism, media, creativity and football business and, hopefully, become part of the industry in Barcelona.”
