Current position and company:
I am currently working as Director of Women’s Football at New Giza Club in Egypt, where I am responsible for the strategic development of the women’s football programme, including team development, academy structures, talent identification and creating a clear pathway for young players.
I am also a CAF A Licensed Head Coach with extensive experience in women’s national-team football, including the Egypt Senior Women’s National Team and Egypt U20 Women’s National Team.

Work experience and key projects:
My career in football has included both national-team coaching and the development of women’s football programmes.
I served as Head Coach of the Egypt Women’s U20 National Team, leading the team through international competitions and the World Cup qualification campaign. During this period, we achieved a historic runner-up finish in the North African U20 Championship and organized international preparation camps, including a training camp in France.
I have also worked with the Egypt Senior Women’s National Team, including senior-team preparation and international competitions.
At club level, one of my most important experiences was at Al Ahly SC, where I founded and led the club’s Women’s programme. This involved helping establish the structure of the women’s football programme and developing a pathway for young female players.
Today, at New Giza Club, my focus is on the strategic development of women’s football, player pathways, talent identification and building a sustainable football environment.

Leading the Egypt Women’s U20 National Team through a successful World Cup qualification campaign.
Achieving a historic runner-up finish in the North African U20 Championship.

Building and developing women’s football structures at club level.
Developing young female players and creating pathways from youth football toward senior football.

A brief note on why you work in sports, or what brought you into the industry:
Football has been part of my life for many years. I was first involved in the game as a player, representing Egypt at international level, and later transitioned into coaching. What kept me in football was my belief that football is not only about winning matches; it is also about developing people, creating opportunities and building something that can continue after you are gone.
When I moved into coaching, I became especially passionate about women’s football because I saw the enormous potential of female players and the need for stronger structures, better development pathways and greater professional opportunities. For me, coaching is where my passion for the game, leadership and desire to develop people come together.
What you would like to contribute to or change in the sports industry?
I would like to see women’s football become more professional, more visible and more sustainable.
There is tremendous talent in women’s football, particularly in Africa, but talent alone is not enough. Players need the right environment, qualified coaches, proper development pathways, high-performance standards and opportunities to compete at the highest level.
I would like to contribute to building stronger women’s football programmes from grassroots to the senior national team, while creating more opportunities for female players and coaches.
I also believe we need more women in leadership positions within football — not only as players and coaches, but also as technical directors, programme directors, performance specialists and decision-makers.
My ambition is to help create an environment where women’s football is treated as high-performance football, with the same professionalism, standards and ambition expected at the highest levels of the game.
