Current position and company:
I currently work for Sport360, as a Senior Sports Events Executive.
Education:
I hold two Master’s degrees, one in Sports Business and one in Digital Fashion Communication, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing. My dream was to build a career in the fashion industry, which is why I spent my student years in cities such as Milan and Paris. However, I eventually found my true passion on the court. After stepping away from my professional basketball career, I knew I wanted to find a way to remain involved in the sport. That led me to move from the luxury fashion industry into sports, initially working with a sports brand and combining my two passions: fashion and sport. Today, I am leading some of the biggest basketball events in the region.
Work experience and key projects:
Throughout my career, I have worked on and led a wide range of projects, including collaborations between luxury fashion brands and major sports organisations such as the NBA and NFL, as well as the NBA Abu Dhabi Games, EuroLeague Final Four and EuroLeague Super Cup.
Professional achievements:
One of my biggest achievements, and one that completely changed my perspective as a woman in sports, was being selected to join the Swiss Men’s National Basketball Team as part of the coaching staff. That experience made me realise that there is truly no limit to what I can achieve in sports.
A brief note on why you work in sports, or what brought you into the industry:
I grew up in a basketball family, so the sport has always been a part of my everyday life. My father is a coach and my sister also played, so in a way, basketball was always going to be part of my story. Basketball makes me feel alive, and being able to turn my passion into my profession is something I never take for granted. Today, one of the things I enjoy most is contributing to the development of young athletes and being the person I wish I had by my side when I was their age.
What you would like to contribute to or change in the sports industry?
Over the past few years, we have seen more and more women entering and making their mark in the sports industry, which is incredibly encouraging. I want to contribute to that progress by inspiring more women and young girls to believe that they belong in sport and that no goal is too ambitious.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing young athletes I have worked with achieve their goals. I once coached an athlete who is now playing in the NBA, and seeing that journey unfold is incredibly special. Ultimately, I want to continue creating opportunities, developing talent and inspiring others, especially women, to pursue their dreams and work towards even their craziest goals.
