Founder’s Story

Hi, I’m Aldana Daurova – a passionate sports professional from Kazakhstan and the founder of Las Campeonas.

I currently work as a sports, international relations, and PR manager at the Kazakhstan Skating Union, Alongside that, I also work as a freelancer in sports PR and management, specializing in athlete branding, event coordination, and marketing for sports organizations and individuals.

Before stepping into sports management, I was a tennis player – and that’s where my journey began. Sport taught me discipline, resilience, and passion. But it also opened my eyes to the realities many women face in this world – lack of visibility, unequal pay, and systemic gender bias.

I created Las Campeonas because I believe every woman in sport deserves to be seen, respected, and heard – whether she’s on the court, behind the bench, running the federation/professional sports club, or making things work behind the scenes. Too often, their contributions are overlooked. I want to change that.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Sports and eSports Management from Barcelona, Spain, and I speak Kazakh, English, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese.

My favourite sports? Always and forever: tennis, basketball, table tennis, speed skating, and short track.

Thank you for being here and for believing in a future where women in sports are not just seen, but truly valued. Where their work is respected and their impact is impossible to ignore. This platform exists because the future starts with all of us, and together, we’re making it real.

More Than a Project. A Legacy.

Las Campeonas is not only about women in sports — it’s also a tribute to someone who believed in purpose, impact, and the power of doing good.

This platform is dedicated to the memory of Aldana Daurova’s beloved father, Kharbi, who passed away on July 4th, 2025 – just one day before Las Campeonas was set to launch. His passing was unexpected, but his spirit lives on in every word, every story, and every goal behind this project.

Kharbi was a man who gave back to societysomeone who inspired Aldana to stay true to her values, follow her mission with heart, and use her voice to make a real and positive impact on the world. He introduced her to sport at the age of five, opening the door to a lifelong passion. He was her biggest supporter – always standing behind her ideas, her projects, and every bold step she took.

Las Campeonas exists because of that belief – and continues in his honor.

This isn’t just an independent sports media platform. It’s a promise to carry his legacy forward, and to keep building a world where every woman in sport is seen, heard, and valued. Where change begins with stories that can no longer be ignored.
