– Country of origin: Kazakhstan
– Current position and company: Sports Journalist
– Education: Graduated in Media Communications and History of Kazakhstan (Journalism)
– Work experience: Working since 2020 (started in lifestyle journalism, also worked in political media; entered the sports field in autumn 2023)
– Why do you work in sports/ what brought you into the industry: I came into sports journalism spontaneously — I was looking for a job and was invited to join new projects. I got involved in the process and grew into it over time. However, I’ve always been interested in sports, especially hockey, figure skating, and tennis. I’ve been attending HC Barys’ matches since my teenage years. I’ve been rollerblading and skating since childhood, played volleyball, and now play tennis. My younger brothers have always been into sports too — football, boxing, karate, climbing — so I’ve always been surrounded by a sports-oriented atmosphere
– What would you like to contribute to or change in the sports industry: I would love to see clean and honest sports—free from corruption and financial issues. I want to see cities in Kazakhstan with great stadiums and well-developed sports infrastructure. I want to see more sports centers for children and more inclusive facilities for para-athletes. It all depends on the state and how those in power allocate the funding.
