– Why do you work in sports/ what brought you into the industry: Sport has always been a source of inspiration for me. I love the community, the atmosphere, and the emotional moments that make sport so special. I admire the strength of people who often achieve success despite the challenges they face. One of the most powerful moments for me is hearing the national anthem in a full arena and seeing our flag rise – it reminds me that I am part of something meaningful. Being involved in organizing such events, especially during opening ceremonies, fills me with pride and purpose.
– What would you like to contribute to or change in the sports industry: Anyone who’s worked in sports knows the feeling – the budget suddenly runs out, and no one knows when it’ll come back. Sports in Kazakhstan often run on the passion of people like us – those who put in heart and soul, who keep going no matter what, for the sake of the athletes, for the sake of national sport. But going months without a salary or being left out just because there was no budget for you — that hurts. There’s a lack of stability. We do so much behind the scenes. And in the end, many of us leave – not because we want to, but because they can no longer pay us.
